Shura Council chairman lauds UAE on Barakah nuclear power plant

Shura Council chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh stressed yesterday that the success in operating the Barakah nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi— the first of its kind in the Arab world—is a new addition to the UAE’s impressive record of achievements.
He expressed his sincere congratulations to Federal National Council Speaker Saqr bin Ghubash bin Saeed Al Marri on this honorable feat, which comes just about 10 days after the launch of the Hope Probe as the first Arab space mission to explore the planet Mars. Al Saleh said these successes are considered the pride of Gulf and Arab countries, and reflects the keenness of the UAE’s wise leadership to continue implementing advanced strategies in the field of sustainable energy,
for the future. Al Saleh praised Emirati professionals for their expertise and continuous and tireless efforts in the field of renewable energy, and the keenness to uphold and raise the name of the UAE, and establish it as a pioneer in many vital and important sectors for a secure future, based on peaceful and sustainable nuclear energy.
