National Assembly praises royal address

The National Assembly extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for patronising the opening of the second session of the fifth legislative term, praising the keynote royal speech which reflects HM the King’s farsighted visions and aspirations.

The National Assembly expressed full support to the royal directives and visions included in the royal address to meet the present and future development requirements, cope with the scientific and technological progress, protect the state of law and institutions, achieve food security and self-sufficiency and boost citizens’ welfare.

It stressed that the content of the royal address will be top priority in the parliamentary work, pointing out the start of forming the committees in charge of replying to the royal address according to the constitutional and legal procedures.

The National Assembly affirmed continuous cooperation with the government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
