Nazley to face Aleina in semis
Manama : In the Ladies Singles played yesterday in the 69th Open Tennis Championship, Nazley beat Abby Pelagio 7-5, 6-4 and moves to the semis will take Aleina Alex.
In the Super singles quarters, Karim Abdul Redha came back from a set down against Eric to move to the semis 7-5, 0-6, 4-10.
In the Ladies semis played, Safa and Nazley downed Abby and Annie 7-5, 6-4 moving to the finals will take on Aleina and Kalpaka who beat Marilla and Jinq in the other semis 6-3, 6-0.
In another Men’s doubles semis, Ali Alasfoor and John K. beat Somanathan and Teddy 6-0, 6-2, will face Nalan Chokopa and Ahmed Jaffar (final) who had a tough outing against top seeds Hammad Fardan and Salch Al Najjar 6-7, 7-6, 10-8.
In today’s Super singles semis Elias Redha had a tough outing against his brother Karim eventually pulling of 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 and awaits the winner of second semis going on between Anton and Hassan Redha. Meanwhile the stage is set for the finals on Thursday and Friday starting from 6pm onwards.
