Kuwait, Bahrain Pledge Stronger Security Ties

Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Shaikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah during his visit to the Kingdom.

The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted ties and close historical relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, with both sides stressing the importance of continued security cooperation.

General Shaikh Rashid welcomed the Kuwaiti minister and praised the advanced level of security coordination between the two countries, particularly in addressing security challenges and regional developments.

He affirmed Bahrain’s support for measures Kuwait took to safeguard its security and stability and stressed the importance of expanding the exchange of expertise across security fields.

The Bahraini minister said such cooperation should continue within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the principles of joint Gulf action.

Sheikh Fahad, for his part, reaffirmed Kuwait’s support for Bahrain in confronting threats to its security and stability, describing the cooperation as a reflection of the historic relations between the two countries.

The two ministers also discussed strengthening the exchange of expertise and information between their interior ministries and praised cooperation across various security fields.

They stressed the need for unified Gulf efforts and stronger regional security partnerships to address current challenges, maintain stability and advance shared interests.
