Bahrain Polytechnic Hosts Engineering Project Exhibition

Manama

Bahrain Polytechnic hosted the Engineering Project Exhibition at its campus, where students presented their findings on various engineering topics in collaboration with industries in Bahrain.

Around 30 projects were on display at the event. Each project showed great uniqueness and focused on solving a certain problem an industry was facing.

Students developed these projects over a semester as part of their curriculum.

Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, said, “Our problem-based learning approach focuses on training our students to be work-ready, and this is done through practical learning rather than theory.

“We feel that this would meet the goals of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government action plan 2015-2018,” Al Aseeri said.

On the same day, the Polytechnic in collaboration with CADCAMCIM opened its SolidWorks Training Center at the campus, giving engineering and design students the chance to become more productive by taking advantage of 3D technology software to incorporate in their projects.

“The executive management feels that this center will improve the way students carry out their projects. The students will be trained to use the software that will definitely benefit them during their career journey,” Al Aseeri added.

Bahrain Polytechnic’s executive management and representatives from CADCAMCIM visited the exhibition.
