Annual F1 scramble: Dustin, Dana win
Manama : The team of husband and wife Dustin and Dana Whitely, paired with Phil and Julie Dixon (nett 55.4) enjoyed a comfortable win in the Royal Golf Club’s annual F1 Scramble golf tournament.
The trio of Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa, Sebastian Woodrow and Ronan Smith (60.5) were runners up, while the team of Todd Gillespie, Gordon Bennie, Ronan Armstrong and Sam Hobday (61.4) finished third.
Over 50 competitors, both local residents and those visiting Bahrain for the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, took part in the popular Texas Scramble tournament which featured checkered pin flags in honour of Bahrain’s F1 weekend.
Results: 1 Dustin and Dana Whiteley, Phil and Julie Dixon (55.4 nett), 2 Shakh Rashid Al Khalifa, Sebastian Woodrow and Ronan Smith (60.5), 3 Todd Gillespie, Gordon Bennie, Ronan Armstrong and Sam Hobday (61.4).
