She also pointed out the council’s efforts to promote women’s standing at the global level and carry out the goals of sustainable development. She affirmed that launching the award at the international level coincides with the 10th anniversary of its inauguration at the national level.
The award aims to ensure commitment of countries, official agencies and organisations, through their legislative, public and private executive authorities as well as the civil society, to adopting non-discriminatory policies against women and achieving justice in equal opportunities between women and men in various fields. It also aims to highlight and appreciate the institutional and individual efforts, initiatives and projects.
