Assault case accused to be sent to psychologist
Manama : A deaf woman accused of assaulting a lieutenant has been ordered by judges to be examined by a psychologist.
The woman, aged 21, reportedly assaulted the lieutenant with a medical syringe while he was accompanying her inside a police vehicle to be transported to the criminal investigation’s premises.
During interrogations, the defendant said that she was carrying ill-feelings towards him and she was waiting for the right opportunity to hurt him.
Communicating with the help of a interpreter, she revealed to prosecutors: “This lieutenant called me on multiple occasions for interrogations. He asked me many questions to the extent I felt so bad that I wanted to kill him. ” Her trial will resume on January 9.
