Bahrain will mark its annual Youth Day today, a national occasion celebrating the talents, achievements, and contributions of the Kingdom’s youth.

The day reflects the strong commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to place young people at the heart of the Kingdom’s development and reform agenda.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), highlighted the central role of youth in reinforcing national cohesion and progress.

Wealth

“Bahraini youth are the Kingdom’s true wealth and source of renewed strength, who have proven themselves to be active partners in making national achievements through their creativity and excellence,” he said, emphasising that empowering young people remains a strategic priority.

HH Shaikh Nasser also noted the ongoing support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which enables youth participation in innovation, entrepreneurship, and key sectors of national development.

He affirmed that the SCYS will continue implementing initiatives and quality programs to hone youth skills and increase their opportunities to shape the future.

Milestone

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, underscored the significance of Youth Day as a milestone recognising achievements across sports, education, and community initiatives.

“This national occasion embodies the spirit of solidarity within Bahraini society, where youth stand alongside all segments of the community in a manner that reflects deep loyalty to the nation and its leadership,” he said.
