His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa performed the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, joining worshippers in marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Following the prayer, attendees listened to the Eid sermon delivered by Dr. Rashed bin Mohammed Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council.
The sermon began with praise and gratitude to God, along with prayers upon Prophet Muhammad and his companions. Dr. Al Hajri emphasized that despite the challenges facing the nation, Eid remains an occasion for joy, gratitude, and unity. He highlighted the importance of thanking God for safeguarding the country and stressed that victory comes through faith, unity, and standing firmly behind national leadership.
He also paid tribute to Bahrain’s security forces stationed at the nation’s borders, commending their dedication in protecting the country and maintaining stability.
During the sermon, Dr. Al Hajri referred to recent Iranian attacks, describing them as violations of international norms and laws that endangered civilians and disrupted public safety. He welcomed the international response, noting broad global support reflected in a United Nations Security Council resolution backed by 136 countries, which condemned the attacks and called for an immediate halt to hostilities targeting Gulf states and Jordan.
The sermon concluded with prayers for the continued success and guidance of Bahrain’s leadership, including His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and for the safety and strength of the nation’s armed forces. Supplications were also made for the acceptance of fasting and prayers during Ramadan and for continued peace and protection for Bahrain and the wider Muslim world.
Following the prayer, His Majesty exchanged Eid greetings with attendees and extended his congratulations to the people of Bahrain, wishing them continued prosperity and blessings.
