The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) continues to roll out the first phase of its youth-focused program, "Rihan Al Mustaqbal" (Future Bet), aimed at equipping young Bahrainis with essential skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the Kingdom’s development journey.
This initiative reflects a broader vision to prepare a generation of politically aware youth who are capable of taking part in building the nation, in line with the Royal directives that emphasize youth as a cornerstone for shaping the future.
As part of the program’s second week, three specialized workshops were held:
The week kicked off with a session titled “Creative Thinking Skills,” delivered by Issa Al-Dossary, co-founder of Hup. The interactive workshop focused on the importance of creativity, levels of innovative thinking, and the qualities of a creative personality. Participants explored how to generate and apply fresh ideas to support national development.
The second event featured Abdulrahman Al-Zowaidi, Director of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, who led a workshop on “Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Inclusive Development.” The session discussed how the national economic vision aligns with global sustainable development goals and encouraged youth to engage in shaping economic priorities. It also examined the connection between politics and economics in national planning.
The week concluded with a workshop titled “National Responsibility” led by certified trainer and national identity expert Dr. Osama Bahr. The session explored the values of citizenship, characteristics of a responsible citizen, and how national values reinforce Bahraini identity in the face of modern-day challenges.
These workshops are part of the program’s initial phase, which focuses on skill-building and training. Future stages will include field visits, dialogue sessions, and hands-on parliamentary simulations that mirror Bahrain’s legislative process.
"Future Bet" is designed as a pioneering national platform to empower Bahraini youth and prepare them for active, informed participation in political life. By offering tools for constitutional education, fostering leadership, and connecting youth engagement with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, the program encourages dialogue, initiative, and meaningful impact in decision-making arenas.
