Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the thirteenth edition of “Youth City 2030” is set to begin today.

This event, spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, is in collaboration with its strategic partner, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, recently visited the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre to inspect the Youth City 2030 preparations.

The initiative aims to equip young people with the skills needed for the labour market.

This year, Youth City 2030 offers 4,000 training slots across 148 programmes over six weeks. Morning sessions are designed for ages 9 to 14, while evening programmes target those aged 15 to 35.

The city features five centres, each offering professionally crafted training programmes aimed at identifying and nurturing Bahraini youth talents to make them competitive in the job market.

The Arts and Culture Centre includes sections on drawing and painting, cooking, fashion design, printing, interior design, jewellery design, and cultural narration.

The Science and Technology Centre covers areas such as agriculture, recycling, renewable energy, cybersecurity, electronic game design, electrical engineering, and data specification.

Courses

The Sports and Health Centre provides courses on health and nutrition, fitness, football, physiotherapy, first aid, and basketball.

The Media and Entertainment Centre offers training in photography, graphic design, music, video production, journalism, media presentation, acting, and sound recording.

The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Centre focuses on life skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, youth initiatives, and communication skills.
