HM King Hamad receives invitation to attend second GCC-EU Summit
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written letter from His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, inviting him to attend the second GCC-EU Summit, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October.
The letter was delivered to His Majesty by Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain.
His Majesty thanked King Salman for the invitation and praised the deep-rooted and distinguished relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the two countries’ commitment to strengthening ties at all levels for the benefit of their peoples.
His Majesty also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting joint Gulf action and for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in further developing Bahrain-Saudi relations.
HM wished the GCC-EU Summit success in strengthening the partnership between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union and advancing cooperation in areas of shared interest.
