BREAKING NEWS: Missiles targeting Mecca and Jeddah intercepted by KSA
Saudi Air Defense intercepted two ballistic missiles launched by Yemen based Islamic religious-political-armed movement Houthi Militia on Monday.
The first missile bound for Al Taif in the province of Mecca was intercepted on Monday morning.
The Saudi government has yet not issued a statment to acknowledge the missile fire, which other Saudi media also reported.
The Iran-linked Houthi militias have targeted Saudi border towns and Riyadh with ballistic missiles and also claimed drone attacks on the airports of Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the past.
Yemeni government said that it strongly condemns the Houthi attempt to target Mecca, adding that the attack on the holy site is “a full-fledged terrorist act”.
Hashtags #HouthisStrikeMecca and #الحوثي_يستهدف_كعبه_المسلمين are being used by prople to expresss outrage regarding this attck during the holy month of Ramadan.
