The United Arab Emirates, in coordination with the Arab Group and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, has strongly condemned ongoing Israeli settlement expansion and related developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
During a joint press stakeout, the UAE expressed concern over continued settlement activity, forced displacement of Palestinian civilians, and unilateral actions being carried out in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The statement also highlighted repeated incursions by extremist Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli forces.
According to the statement, such actions are aimed at altering the historical, legal, and demographic status of the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem. The UAE warned that these measures violate international law, increase tensions on the ground, and further destabilize an already fragile situation.
The UAE and its partners stressed that continued escalation undermines international efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the internationally supported two-state solution.
They reiterated calls for restraint and respect for international law, emphasizing the importance of protecting civilians and preserving the status quo in Jerusalem’s holy sites.
