Global Oil Stockpiles ‘Scarily Thin’ Amid US-Iran War, Says Aramco CEO
Global oil stockpiles are “scarily thin” amid the ongoing US-Iran war, Saudi Aramco Chief Executive Officer Amin Nasser said on Monday, warning that the global oil supply system is already under strain.
Speaking at the Energy Intelligence Forum in London, Nasser said there was little remaining capacity for the world to rely on if further supply disruptions occur.
His comments came days after G7 nations agreed to release additional oil from their strategic reserves to ease concerns over global supplies.
Nasser warned that the limited supply buffer could leave global markets increasingly vulnerable to further disruptions.
