Dozens injured after double-decker bus overturns in Sweden
More than 40 people were injured, including around 10 seriously, after a double-decker bus left the road and overturned in southern Sweden, authorities said Monday.
The accident occurred between the towns of Växjö and Alvesta shortly after 4:30pm local time, according to police.
Images from the scene showed the bus lying on its side beside the road, with emergency crews and several ambulances responding to the crash.
Region Kronoberg said more than 40 people were affected, with around 10 sustaining serious injuries.
Police said the cause of the accident remained unclear and that officers were questioning the driver and passengers as part of the investigation.
