Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with Anita Anand in Doha to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments during the Canadian minister’s official visit to Qatar.
According to the Qatar News Agency, the two sides reviewed cooperation between Qatar and Canada and explored ways to strengthen ties across various sectors.
Discussions also focused on the latest developments in the region, particularly the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as well as ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing regional security and stability.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Anand signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a strategic dialogue between Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.
The agreement is expected to strengthen diplomatic coordination and deepen cooperation between the two countries on regional and international issues.
