BEIJING: China’s General Administration of Customs reported that exports to the United States rose 11.3% year-on-year in April. Totaling $36.8 billion, this figure marks a significant increase from the $33 billion recorded during the same month last year.
This growth signals that the world's second-largest economy is successfully adjusting to the blistering trade war and tariffs launched by the US last year.
The data arrives at a critical diplomatic moment, as President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit China next week for highly anticipated talks with President Xi Jinping.
