HM King receives invitation to attend UN Water Conference 2026
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written letter from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, inviting His Majesty to attend the United Nations Water Conference 2026, which will be hosted by the UAE in December.
The letter was presented to His Majesty by Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the UAE to Bahrain.
His Majesty thanked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the invitation and commended the UAE’s hosting of the high-level conference, which will focus on strengthening the role of water resources on the global agenda, encouraging collective action to address water-related challenges and mobilising international efforts to ensure sustainable access to water for all.
His Majesty also affirmed Bahrain’s appreciation for the historical ties and longstanding bonds between Bahrain and the UAE, highlighting the continued development of cooperation and coordination between the two countries across various fields.
He noted that these strong relations continue to support the growth and prosperity of both nations and their peoples.
