GCC, Jordan Envoys Meet Turkey FM Over Regional Tensions

Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Jordan held a joint meeting with Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, at the Ministry’s headquarters to discuss recent regional developments.
The meeting was chaired by Bassim Ahmed Marzooq, Ambassador of the Bahrain to Turkey, in its capacity as the current presidency of the GCC.
Discussions focused on escalating regional tensions, particularly in light of what were described as Iranian attacks targeting GCC states and Jordan.
During the meeting, the ambassadors stressed that the security of GCC member states is interconnected and indivisible. They also reviewed the impact of the alleged Iranian attacks, which they said targeted civilian infrastructure, service facilities, and residential areas, resulting in loss of life and property damage.
The Bahraini ambassador underscored the importance of halting such attacks and emphasized the need for continued coordination and joint cooperation among regional partners to address current challenges and strengthen security and stability across the region.
