London: Sandbox game Minecraft has released a new add-on pack that allows players to interact with block-style versions of prominent civil rights figures, including Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Malala Yousafzai.
Titled “Lessons in Good Trouble,” the downloadable content enables players to take part in interactive scenarios inspired by historic civil rights movements. These include joining Nelson Mandela in his struggle to end apartheid in South Africa, learning about Malala Yousafzai’s campaign for girls’ education, and marching alongside Mahatma Gandhi during India’s independence movement.
The add-on also features other influential figures such as Rosa Parks and John Lewis, introducing players to key moments in the global fight for equality and justice.
Designed as an educational experience, the pack aims to help children and young players learn about civil rights movements from around the world through gameplay.
Mojang said the Lessons in Good Trouble add-on is free to download for all Minecraft players.
