Labour Minister issues edict to reform joint follow-up commission

Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan has issued an edict reforming the joint commission in charge of following up on the implementation of the law on insurance against unemployment.
Chaired by Labour Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the panel includes officials representing the Labour Ministry and the Social Insurance Organisation.
The committee is responsible for following up the implementation of the provisions of Decree-Law No. (78) for the year 2006 regarding unemployment insurance, proposing the necessary ministerial edicts and solutions that contribute to developing the unemployment insurance system.
The panel is also responsible for undertaking any other tasks assigned to it by the Ministry of Labour and the Social Insurance Organisation.
