Zero COVID-19 deaths; recoveries rise over 43,000

There were zero deaths due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bahrain yesterday, keeping the total number of virus-related casualties at 170. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health announced early this morning that out of 9,669 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 405 new cases were detected. These included 160 expatriate workers, 241 contacts of active cases, and four travel-related cases.

There were also 322 additional recoveries from the virus yesterday, bringing the Kingdom’s total number of discharged individuals to 43,128. The total number of current active cases continued its recent rise and is now at 3,537. The total tests conducted in Bahrain increased to 972,003.
