Zero COVID-19 deaths as cases continue to drop

The Ministry of Health reported zero casualties related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday, as the number of active cases in Bahrain continued to decline. The total death toll in the Kingdom remained at 147. The ministry announced early this morning that out of 7,425 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 346 new cases were detected.

These included 145 expatriate workers, 197 contacts of active cases, and four travel-related cases. There were also 455 additional recoveries yesterday from the respiratory disease, bringing the total number of discharged patients in the Kingdom to 38,666.

With those recovered individuals, the total number of current active cases continued to drop and they went to 2,723, with 47 in critical condition and 69 receiving treatment. The remaining 2,676 cases are stable. The total tests conducted in Bahrain increased to 842,992.
