Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court announced yesterday that Friday, July 31, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha. The court said that, based on the testimony of the moon-sighting panel, today will be the 30th day of Dhul Qaida, and that tomorrow will be the first day of Dhul Hijja.

As the first day of Eid Al Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhul Hijja, Eid will be on July 31. The ascension on Mount Arafat in the suburbs of Makkah, the climax of the Haj season, will be on Thursday, July 30.
