Al Tawfeek Maintenance supports food kit distribution

The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF), working under the patronage of the Embassy of India in Bahrain, has reached out to more than 5,000 needy community members with food support kits.

Al Tawfeek Maintenance Services Co. managing director K N Padmanabhan donated 500 Kits to ICRF, in support of the initiative to reach out to the community during this pandemic.

The food kits contain basic food items such as rice (5kg), dal lentils (1kg), green mung lentil (1kg), chilli powder (500gm), coriander powder (500gm), wheat atta (5kg), salt (one bottle), tea powder (250gm), cooking oil (750ml), black chena lentil (1kg), sugar (1kg), 12 eggs, long-life milk (2ltrs), and much more.

ICRF has so far distributed nearly 1,000 kits to families and individuals, sufficient for approximately two weeks for nearly 5,000 community members. ICRF volunteers have been receiving hundreds of calls every day requesting for food support.

ICRF chairman Aruldas Thomas thanked Padmanabhan for his generous contribution, as well as that of Bahrain India Society who have also come forward to extend their support financially to ICRF.
