HM King directs formation of smaller Cabinet
HRH Crown Prince submits report on current financial situations

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa directed the formation of a smaller Cabinet to solve the financial problems as soon as possible in consultation with Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
HM the King’s issued the order after reviewing a report on the Kingdom’s currently financial situations affected by the drop in oil prices and other obligations. It was submitted by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at the BDF General Headquarters yesterday.
Move to for smaller Cabinet lauded
Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla has lauded HM the King’s directive to form the smaller cabinet. Al Mulla affirmed the Council of Representatives' support to the Royal directives, and readiness to cooperate fully with the smaller cabinet through providing it with the necessary success requirements in order to ensure its success in overcoming all challenges created by the current financial situation which is affected by the drop in oil prices and other obligations.
The speaker expressed utmost confidence in the ability of the kingdom, under its leadership, to address the current financial situation according to a scientific economic study that ensures a stable and robust financial and economic situation in the future, and through a social partnership and understanding of the critical situation the region and the kingdom are going through.
Praising the move, Minister of Information Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi said, "Bahrain is not isolated from what is faced by the region and there are many decisions taken by neighbouring countries to deal with the financial developments caused by the volatility of oil prices."
