Bahrain Showcases Higher Education Achievements at Education World Forum 2026

Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Education World Forum 2026 in the United Kingdom, which brought together officials and education experts from 125 countries under the theme “Education for a Shared Future: Peace, Planet, Purpose and Pathways.”
During the forum, Dr. Al Jahromi highlighted the progress and achievements of Bahrain’s higher education sector across academic, educational and research fields. She underscored the continued support provided to the Kingdom’s higher education institutions to strengthen their readiness and enable them to keep pace with rapidly evolving global trends and developments.
On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Al Jahromi held a series of meetings with representatives of international educational institutions and organisations to discuss opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of expertise in higher education, research and academic innovation.
The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral partnerships and exploring initiatives that support the ongoing development of Bahrain’s higher education sector, in line with national goals to enhance educational quality and international competitiveness.
The Education World Forum is one of the world’s leading gatherings of education policymakers, providing a platform for dialogue on key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of education.
