Girls futsal league gets thrilling opening
Girls League which is held as part of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League began on Friday. The event witnessed a special women’s presence with the attendance of several female celebrities.
The first match of the league saw Al Ataa and Al Quwah share the spoils in a six-goal thriller in Group 1. Alataa’s player Mariam Al Tamimi’s fine display during the match earned the best player of the match award. Al Esrar had a perfect start to their campaign in the league, thrashing Al Theqa 15-0 in Group 2.
Fatima Mohammed Bu Shehri contributed five goals to the winners en route to being named the best player of the match award. In another match Al Amal secured a well-earned 5-2 win against Al Azeema.
