Seventh Shaikh Isa Voluntary Work award in September
Manama : The seventh edition of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Volunteer Work will be held in September, said Samya Hussain, Head of Public Relations and Marketing Committee of the award.
Announcing the decision, she also said that the Arab League’s hosting of the award ceremony this year is a new success for the Award and for its sponsors. The main sponsors are GPIC, Bass, Al Baraka Bank, VIVA and Gulf Air. The media sponsors of this year’s award are Al Akhbar Al Khaleej, Al Bilad, Al-Ayyam newspaper.
“Volunteering at the local level is an important tool in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development plans in the Kingdom,” she said adding: “Tamkeen’s strategic sponsorship plays a vital role in supporting various Bahraini initiatives.”
45 projects of individuals and voluntary associations in Bahrain participated in the Award for Volunteer Work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The award ceremony will be held from 13 to 15 September, during which a group of prominent Arab figures who have contributed to the voluntary projects will be honoured.
