NCSC Launches ‘Ask Amna’ Cybersecurity Assistant

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has launched “Ask Amna”, Bahrain’s first digital assistant dedicated to cybersecurity awareness.

The AI-powered assistant was unveiled during an event at Marassi Galleria attended by Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of NCSC, along with cybersecurity awareness officials and specialists.

“Ask Amna” provides practical guidance to help users deal with cybersecurity risks and challenges in their daily lives. Users can ask cybersecurity-related questions, learn about digital risks and safe security practices, and check the reliability of links before opening them.

The digital assistant is part of the “Bu Rashid Family” initiative, described by NCSC as Bahrain’s first AI-powered digital family for cybersecurity awareness. Launched under the slogan “Cyber Awareness, A Way of Life”, the initiative uses characters and everyday situations to simplify cybersecurity concepts for different age groups and sections of society.

Shaikh Salman stressed the importance of continuously developing cybersecurity awareness tools in response to rapid technological advances.

He said modern digital solutions can make cybersecurity knowledge more accessible to different segments of society, adding that the launch of “Ask Amna” represents another step in developing Bahrain’s cybersecurity awareness ecosystem.

He also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in making cybersecurity awareness more accessible, interactive and practical, supporting safer digital behaviour.

“Ask Amna” is available through the NCSC’s official website, giving users interactive access to cybersecurity guidance and safe digital practices.
