GCC Officials Discuss Economic Integration
Yousif Abdulla Humood, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, chaired the 16th meeting of the Senior Officials Committee of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority.
The meeting was held via videoconference as part of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Humood stressed the importance of strengthening economic coordination and integration among GCC states to support joint Gulf action and respond to rapidly evolving economic developments and challenges.
He also highlighted the need to enhance economic preparedness and resilience amid geopolitical developments and their impact on global market stability, energy security and supply chains.
The meeting reviewed several agenda items focused on strengthening GCC economic and development integration and advancing joint action in these areas.
