National Race Day

Manama : Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is set for an action-packed National Race Day weekend today and tomorrow in Sakhir with five highly competitive championships taking place along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track. Aside from the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East which is holding its fifth and penultimate round, the others are the TCR Middle East Series, the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK) and the Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR) 600 which all take place tomorrow. Action takes place from 9am until a little after 5pm on both days with tickets available at the gate. They cost BD2 each for both days of racing and those who have already purchased their tickets to the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix can attend for free. TCR is running its maiden Middle East Series, and this round is the third and final one of the season. It following events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and both races are at 12.02pm and at 3.45pm. The BIC 2,000cc Challenge holds its fifth round of the season, with both races at 12.46pm and the second at 4.26pm, while BSBK marks its fifth and penultimate round of the season with races at 10.50am and 2.20pm and rounding out the events are the BMR 600 riders who are set to battle in two categories: the Superstock Series and the Hornet Series with races at 10.25am and 1.55pm.
