Crown Prince gets hearty welcome in Saudi Arabia

Manama : Their Royal Highnesses’ also reviewed various regional and international developments during the session.

Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and a number of senior ministers also attended the meeting.

“This visit takes place at a time when we look to further build on what we have achieved across various areas of bilateral cooperation,” said a statement by HRH Crown Prince.

HRH Crown Prince and the accompanying delegation, was given a hearty welcome at King Saud Palace. 

The delegation  attended a lunch banquet hosted in honour by the Saudi Crown Prince.

“This visit takes place at a time when we look to further build on what we have achieved across various areas of bilateral cooperation,” said HRH Crown Prince. 

 “I am very pleased to continue working with Prince Mohammed bin Nayef Al Saud,” said  Prince Salman.

 The effective development of our economies will be underpinned and led by the economic visions of both Kingdoms. The visions have delivered greater momentum and confidence in programmes that seek to increase economic growth, diversification and sustainability,” said HRH Crown Prince.

“The substantial reforms undertaken by Bahrain and Saudi Arabia place an emphasis on the role of sustainable development, diversification of revenues, and the development of legislation and regulations that stimulate private sector investment. 

“We share this common vision, and we are deeply committed to increasing cooperation across all areas. 

“We also look forward to launching new joint projects and initiatives aimed at achieving greater integration within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) across all sectors, to the benefit of the region as a whole,” the statement said. 

Prince Salman lauded the role played by Saudi Arabia in supporting GCC in fighting terrorism. 

HRH Crown Prince appreciated Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting GCC and Arab security cooperation in the face of extremist ideologies, through its leadership of the Arab Coalition.
