Governorate to celebrate National Day tomorrow

Manama : The Southern Area Municipality has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on the occasion of the Glorious National Day and the Accession Anniversary of HM the King.

The municipality confirmed its readiness to host its large annual popular celebration in association with the Southern Governorate marking the Kingdom's National Day and His Majesty the King's Accession Anniversary, on Saturday, December 10.

The event will be held at the Khalifa Grand Park under the patronage of Southern Governor Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.

Schoolchildren from public and private schools, civil society organisations, productive Bahraini families, folklore troupes will participate in the event, including the Liwa (i.e. bagpipe) music band plus a pottery makers' special corner.

The programme also includes entertainment activities for the public, national poetry recital, games for kids, as well as various mental and physical activities.

The public are invited to rejoice the Glorious National Day celebrations.
