BSB achieves cent per cent results

ManamaBritish School Bahrain, Hamala Campus  celebrated its best A Level and BTEC results. The results are impressive with all students passing their A2 examinations.

Forty-three per cent of grades were in between A*and A, 61.7pc in between A* and B and 79.4pc were from A to C. 

The average UCAS points score jumped from 87 in 2015 to 100 this year. A remarkable 22.4pc of all the entries, 10pc above the UK national average, secured the top A*  grades. Eight students achieved at least 3 straight A grades or above. 

Ali Adenwala, Ahmed Gerashi and Ingeborg De Vries  topped with A* grades in all their subjects. “British School Bahrain has concluded a remarkable year with these terrific results. We are delighted that all their hard work has paid off and we wish them every in their pursuit of their dreams,” said Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Rashad Janahi.

The Head of School,  Mrs Julie Anne Gilbert congratulated the students, who have worked so hard towards this collective feat of excellence. “The results reflect the quality of teaching and learning at the British School. We have prepared our students for life beyond school and we wish them all the very best as they move on to the next stage of their lives,” she said.

Over 30pc of students achieved A* or A grades in English, French, Art, Arabic, Chemistry and Physics. 

The school witnessed an increase of 17.4 in the percentage of A* grades when compared to the 2015 results.

Eight students secured all top grades:  Ali Adenwala topped with three A* grades. Marium Abbas is second with an A* grade and three A grades. Abrar Hasan achieved one A* and 2 A grades while Ali Mohammed achieved 4 A grades. Rishabh Sharma achieved three A* and one C, Ahmed Gerashi  three A*, Ingeborg Dr Vries three A* and Panagiotis Panagiotou three A* and one B grade.
