Minister congratulates robotics contest winners
Manama : Minister of Education Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi, who received the winners of the second edition of local Robot Fix contest, praised their efforts.
The students will represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in the finales of the international robotics contest in the USA in April.
The national team was chosen in a nationwide robotics contest, in which 500 students had competed.
Dr. Nuaimi reaffirmed that the Ministry attached great importance to such talents as the basic link in nurturing student creativity.
The Ministry stated that the local robotics contest aims to develop the participants’ scientific, technological, technical and mathematical skills.
The contest gathers teams of youth from all over the Kingdom and tests their creative and innovative aptitudes and capabilities of problem-solving and surmounting challenges.
The contestants applied various school subjects related to science, technology and mathematics deemed of importance in robotics performance. They also learned and implemented the designing of robots according to various mechanisms of engineering concepts.
