Muharraq Claims Record 20th King’s Cup
Muharraq are King’s Cup champions for a record 20th time. The Red Wolves ended a six-year drought with a thrilling 2–1 comeback victory over Riffa at Bahrain National Stadium.
After an early own goal, Mohammed Al Hardan leveled the score with a sensational 28th-minute volley before Elliot Simoes struck the second-half winner. Despite late VAR drama and intense pressure from Riffa, Portuguese manager Fernando Santos’ side held firm to secure the title and the 100,000 BHD top prize.
