Plan your dream wedding at the LPOD!

Bahrain’s largest water-theme park can now be turned into a spectacular venue for your dream wedding! The Lost Paradise of Dilmun (LPOD) based in Sakhir boasts of over 75,000 square meters of amusement features and the region’s only sand beach wave pool.

It is now set to to open its doors for another thrilling summer season in March with added attractions, LPOD General Manager Pierre Vasseur told DT News.

 ‘It will be a perfect destination for a wedding. Offering excellence in service, setting and cuisine we ensure that your event requirements are handled with the highest level of care and expertise, to make your special day one to be cherished and remembered,’ he said.  A sophisticated hovering stage is built over the wave pool which is perfect for ceremonies,  speeches and the unforgettable ‘first dance’. Furniture and catering equipment include covered chairs tables and tablewares. As part of the wedding package there will be free flow of non-alcoholic beverages and Arabic coffee /tea during the wedding function and full services of highly skilled servers and catering team.  Additional services include a large outdoor movie screen to play your memories,photos and backdrop, DJ and fully equipped sound system, photography and videography, flower  arrangements and wedding cake. 

‘Travel back in times to lush gardens enchanting structures and evocative carvings inspired by the enigmatic Dilumn civilizations. The magical venue provides a day of joyful, celebration with family and friends against a stunning backdrop, complete with lapping waves and tropical palm trees,’ Mr Vasseur added. LPOD has prepared a tailored package for the ‘magical venue’. Customers can choose from silver, gold or platinum package and customize the event to their personal style and requirements. It starts with BD 12 per person for silver package and BD 15 for gold package and BD  18 for diamond package. There must be a minimum number of 150 guests for all packages, he explained. 

Developed by the Al Areen Holding Company, the water park has a built-up area of 45,000 square meters and about 20,000 square meters for future expansion and car parking. With massive vicinity the park can accommodate 5,000 guests at any time. Each aspect of the park is based on the history of the Dilmun period, reflected by unique stone sculptures and architecture that encompasses the theme. Over 18 slides and attractions are blended seamlessly to create a desert oasis and garden of paradise for guests to enjoy.  The Lost Paradise of Dilmun and the adjacent 5-star Al Areen Palace are the first components in the multi-billion dollar Al Areen Development. There are 12 cabanas for privacy and comfort. Visitors can choose from Beach Cabanas ,Dilmun village, family cabanas and royal cabanas, all equipped to make the stay comfortable. 

Recently the   waterpark has  announced the launch of its new Season Pass 2016. This special membership cards aim to enhance the waterpark’s already robust offerings, allowing guests to avail more discounts, more benefits and ultimately more fun. ‘The new season passes are something that our guests have asked for and we are pleased to make it happen for them. We believe that our guests, especially those who love to enjoy the waterpark again and again deserve something more special. The option to save is always on top of everyone’s list and to feel more exceptional with lesser inconvenience is also an essential value to one’s experience,’ says Mr Vasseur. ‘Due to the high volume of guests that also arrive during our popular Ladies night, for the first time we have also introduced a premium pass that will cater to the ladies. It easily gives them access to the waterpark with all its perks and privileges,’ adds Mr. Vasseur. 

The park’s Mid Summer Café has been inspired by Shakespeare’s play and has artistic, creative and inspiring concepts that reflect in the branding of the Café.    Set at the entrance of the biggest waterpark in Bahrain, Mid Summer Café inspires every individual to be themselves and let their unique and creative personality to shine.   Among its many unique features, the Café can be accessed directly from the main entrance, without necessarily entering the park.

‘Targeted for the students and youth, this Café aims to be the place where guests relax and be themselves. Equipped with all modern facilities, this Café is aimed to provide a relaxed environment for the youngsters. Fun activities, seminars and conferences, free wifi and a music and TV lounge will be available for the guests to choose this Café as the venue for any requirement. The  Waterpark along with its team of lifeguards recently underwent a comprehensive training program ensuring guests a  secure and safe environment.
