Dubai: The Kingdom of Bahrain has secured second place at the 14th edition of the Dubai Holy Quran Competition for People of Determination, held in the United Arab Emirates with participation from more than 700 male and female contestants from across GCC countries.
Bahrain’s achievement came through contestant Noor Abdul-Razzaq Shakib, who competed in the full Holy Quran memorisation category and delivered an outstanding performance among participants from across the Gulf region.
This marks another major international accomplishment for Noor, who previously won first place at the same competition in 2024 and also secured second place at the Hashemite International Competition for Females for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran in 2016.
Commenting on the achievement, Issa Sami Al-Mannai, Undersecretary at Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressed pride in the success, saying it reflects Bahrain’s continued commitment to supporting talented People of Determination and promoting excellence in Quranic education on the international stage.
