Peaceful coexistence central to Bahrain’s vision: minister

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, said Bahrain remains committed to promoting peaceful coexistence and human harmony.

He said these efforts continue under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Speaking on the International Day of Living Together in Peace, he stressed that protecting national sovereignty is essential to achieving sustainable peace.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla also praised the efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Ministry of Interior and civil authorities in confronting recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom, describing their response as a reflection of determination and commitment to safeguarding Bahrain’s security and stability.

The minister highlighted initiatives led by His Majesty the King, including the “Bahrain Declaration” and the establishment of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, saying they reinforce the values of peaceful coexistence and protection of religious freedoms.
