Saudi bizwomen to enjoy same privilege as Bahrainis

More Saudi women may be seen doing business in Bahrain in the future as they are now eligible to run business just like the Bahrainis.

Speaking to DT News, Board Member and Head of Businesswomen’s Committee in BCCI Afnan Al Zayani said the Bahrainis and Saudis are one and same and they would cordially invite them to come and do business in Bahrain.

She was speaking on the sidelines of the consultative meeting between the Saudi and Bahraini businesswomen at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) yesterday.

“If they register a Bahraini company they can enjoy all the benefits and incentives of the Bahraini citizens whether through Tamkeen or other benefits from the banks,” she said.

President Bahrain Women’s Society Ahlam Yousif Janahi said the outcome of this meeting was to enable Saudi businesswomen to develop economic relations with their Bahraini counterparts enabling them to do partnerships together.

“The business development does not come in one or two meetings. It is a
long process which should continue until they found the results in the form of partnerships between Bahraini and Saudi women,” she said.

“We hope that Saudis, as neighbours, would concentrate on Bahraini market and invest in different sectors here,” added Ahlam. She said that Bahrain Business Woman Society will hold an international exhibition under the patronage of Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council of Women Chairwoman HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifain in March.

Saudi businesswoman Dr Aisha Al Mana, who aspires  to do business in Bahrain, said the business environment for women is more relaxing here than in Saudi Arabia.
