Strengthening Gulf Maritime Security
During the visit, Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi received an overview of the centre’s activities, including monitoring maritime movements across the region, coordinating between GCC naval forces, assessing potential maritime threats and developing operational plans to address emerging challenges.
Operating under the GCC Unified Military Command, the centre uses advanced naval systems and works closely with the naval forces of GCC member states and partner countries to support the protection of vital shipping routes and sea lanes.
Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi praised the centre as a reflection of the strong defence cooperation among GCC countries, highlighting its important role in strengthening military coordination and integration between regional naval forces.
He said the centre contributes to maritime security and regional stability by improving joint coordination, enhancing naval readiness and supporting safe navigation in the Arabian Gulf.
The Chief of Staff also commended the efforts of the GCC naval personnel working at the centre, praising their professionalism and efficiency in addressing maritime risks and challenges.
