New Security Training School Opens

 More than 22,000 security personnel trained since the establishment

• Interior Minister highlights the role of modern training and technology

• New building expands capabilities to meet Bahrain’s security training needs

Interior Minister His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa inaugurated the new building of the Security Guards Training School, reaffirming that training and professional development remain key pillars of Bahrain’s security sector.

Upon arrival, the Interior Minister unveiled the commemorative plaque, officially opening the new facility. This facility provides essential services including issuing licences for private security and guard companies, as well as qualification and training programmes for personnel working in the sector.

He emphasised that the future belongs to institutions that invest in efficiency, preparedness, human capabilities, science and technology.

Shaikh Rashid highlighted that training and development are fundamental elements of security work, stressing the importance of adopting modern scientific methods and international training standards to enhance capabilities and address evolving security challenges.
He said the opening of the new Security Guards Training School building is part of a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at improving security performance and ensuring a safe environment for citizens and residents.

During the visit, the minister was briefed on the school’s services, including its electronic systems and integration with the National Suggestions and Complaints System and the “Mawaeed” appointment system.

The Security Guards Training School has trained more than 22,000 personnel since its establishment, while around 2,150 security employees completed foundation and refresher training programmes during 2025.

Each training course has a capacity of approximately 278 participants, supporting Bahrain’s efforts to enhance the professionalism and readiness of security personnel.
