Historic Bahrain Fort Tops Visitor Charts
The UNESCO-listed archaeological landmark attracted a broad mix of visitors, reflecting growing interest in Bahrain's rich history and cultural heritage. International tourists made up the largest group with 4,282 visitors, followed closely by 4,202 Bahrainis. The site also welcomed 455 GCC nationals, 120 visitors from other Arab countries, and 83 organised group visitors.
The strong turnout highlights Bahrain Fort's continued appeal as the country's flagship heritage destination and underscores ongoing efforts to promote cultural tourism.
The Bahrain National Museum ranked second with 2,432 visitors, attracting 1,201 foreign visitors, 472 Bahrainis, and 393 GCC nationals, in addition to visitors from Arab countries, schools, nurseries, travel agencies and organised groups.
The Tree of Life and Visitors Centre secured third place with 1,644 visitors, reaffirming its popularity as one of Bahrain's most iconic natural and cultural attractions.
Several other heritage destinations also recorded healthy visitor numbers during the month. The Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre welcomed 526 visitors, followed by the Arts Centre with 493, and the Pearl Trail with 454.
The Khalifa Library received 225 visitors, while the Sports Hall welcomed 190. The Bahrain Fort Museum recorded 124 visitors, followed by Sheikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort with 82 and Beit Al Jasra with 63.
The July figures reflect sustained public and tourist interest in Bahrain's archaeological sites, museums and traditional heritage, reinforcing the Kingdom's growing reputation as a destination where history, culture and tourism intersect.
