Royal Call Focuses on Regional Security
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a telephone conversation with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, during which they discussed bilateral relations and efforts to reduce regional tensions.
The two leaders reaffirmed their rejection and condemnation of attacks targeting Bahrain, Jordan and other countries in the region, stressing the importance of strengthening efforts to achieve peace, security and stability.
Capital Governor Meets US Ambassador
Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa received US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephanie Hallett at the governorate headquarters.
During the meeting, he reviewed key community initiatives and development programmes implemented by the Capital Governorate, including projects focused on youth empowerment, volunteerism and partnerships with public and private sector organisations.
Labour Cooperation Discussed
Nibras Mohammed Taleb, Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, received Bangladesh Ambassador to Bahrain H.E. Mohammad Rais Hassan Sarower.
The LMRA chief welcomed the ambassador and stressed the importance of further enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.
Civil Defence Rescues 14 in Apartment Fire
Civil Defence personnel rescued 14 people and successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in an apartment building in the Al-Hawrah area yesterday.
The National Ambulance team attended the scene and provided the necessary assistance.
Authorities started investigating the cause of the fire.
