Youth
As Bahrain marks Bahraini Youth Day, a familiar image takes centre stage, not only in speeches but also in everyday life. Young Bahrainis show up, step forward, and quietly carry the weight of responsibility in moments that matter most.
MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee at the Council of Representatives, said the occasion reflects the central role young people play in shaping the Kingdom’s path. He pointed to the continued care and support extended under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, alongside the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Role
He said Bahraini youth have repeatedly proven their readiness to lead, describing them as genuine partners in national achievement. He added that their awareness, adaptability, and drive to innovate have translated into real contributions across sectors, reflecting a long term investment in empowering young talent.
That presence has become even more visible in recent weeks. Amid ongoing regional tensions, young Bahrainis have not stepped back. Instead, they have stepped into workplaces, community initiatives, and voluntary efforts, reflecting a deep rooted sense of responsibility towards protecting the country’s stability.
Spirit
The strong turnout on the national volunteer platform tells part of that story. Thousands have signed up, not for recognition, but to be present where they are needed. From field support to community assistance, their actions speak of a generation that understands its role beyond words.
Al Salloom said this spirit of volunteering strengthens social cohesion and supports national efforts in navigating challenges, reinforcing the resilience of Bahraini society.
Future
Looking ahead, he stressed that empowering youth must remain a priority, with broader opportunities for participation in decision making and economic development. Investing in young people, he said, remains the most reliable path to securing Bahrain’s future.
For many across the Kingdom, that future is already taking shape in the hands of its youth, steady, committed, and quietly determined.
