In a significant move toward developing local human capital, Le Méridien Bahrain Hotel has launched a specialized hospitality training program designed to qualify and upskill its Bahraini workforce. The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with an accredited national training center, with technical coordination provided by the "Athar" Development Center.
The program was developed following a systematic analysis of training needs to identify specific skill and behavioral gaps. This data-driven approach ensures that the curriculum directly addresses current work requirements and meets the high-quality standards demanded by the international hospitality sector. By raising the professional readiness of national cadres, the hotel aims to enhance service quality and ensure long-term institutional sustainability.
Mr. Taher Al-Wadaei, Acting Director of Human Resources at Le Méridien Bahrain, stated that the program reflects a firm belief that investing in Bahraini talent is essential for operational excellence. He noted that developing employees through clear, professional methodologies directly increases the institution's overall competitiveness.
Abdullah bin Saleh, Director of the Athar Development Center, highlighted the center’s role in using scientific metrics to chart career paths for trainees. He emphasized that properly empowered Bahraini talent remains the most sustainable choice for national institutions, ensuring that training aligns with both current job roles and future growth opportunities.
