Bahraini designer and entrepreneur Al Nada Alawi is continuing her mission of transforming art into everyday experiences through her latest 2026 collection, which blends Arab heritage, fashion and craftsmanship.
Founded in 2011 by Al Nada Alawi and her sister Noor Alawi, Al Nada began as a fashion brand showcasing artworks on silk scarves and has since expanded to include abayas, accessories, leather goods and collaborations with more than 20 regional artists.
Alawi’s journey into the creative world began after discovering painting through renowned Bahraini artist Abbas Al-Mosawi. Inspired by the idea that art should be experienced beyond gallery walls, she developed a vision of turning artistic masterpieces into wearable creations.
The 2026 collection draws inspiration from Arab poetry, Gulf traditions and cultural heritage. Featured works include Al-Mosawi’s “Al Lulu,” which celebrates the historic significance of pearls, and “Al Khail wal Lail,” inspired by the poetry of Al-Mutanabbi. The collection also incorporates artistic interpretations of classic Arabic literature and Gulf songs by artists Marwa Al Khalifa and Raeda Ashoor.
Expanding beyond fashion, Al Nada has introduced a fine porcelain collection inspired by “Al Khail wal Lail.” The handcrafted plates, finished with 24-karat gold detailing, aim to bring art, poetry and hospitality into everyday life.
The collection also highlights traditional craftsmanship through a collaboration with artisan Mohammed Saleh Al-Zari, featuring silk designs embroidered with silver-made golden zari threads.
Through its latest creations, Al Nada continues to bridge the worlds of art, culture and luxury, offering contemporary expressions of Arab identity for local and international audiences.
